These checklists provide idioms which students need to define. A prompt is provided in which the idiom is used in a sentence. The first checklist of 25 idioms is scored + or O. The second checklist has the same idioms and this time the students provides a written description of meaning. The third checklist has the same idioms and requires the student to do a matching activity with provided definitions. A teacher key is provided for the matching activity. A scoring interpretation page provides the most likely definitions by native English and non-native English speakers. The secondary checklist is a matching task with 37 idiom items and answer sheet.
