Research shows that daily reading is critical for improving reading and leads to increased higher vocabulary and academic success. This daily reading journal is an easy way to get students reading daily while improving their reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, and more.
This daily reading journal features 5 pages with 3 book entries each. Each entry starts by having the student read their book three times, perfect for increasing fluency. After checking off their fluency boxes, they move on to fill out the rest of the entry. For all entries, students record the book's title, author, illustrator, author's purpose, fiction/non-fiction, and F&P level. Each entry also has a different comprehension question, making it great for students to dig a bit deeper into their higher-thinking skills.
